newfane historical society

The Newfane Historical Society hosts two annual fundraising festivals each year at the Country Village. The Apple Blossom Festival celebrates spring each May, while apple and farm crops are honored in September at our Apple Harvest Festival. They each have special events to fit their respective seasons.

Both annually host craft and food vendors, attractions and live music. There is also a wonderful array of historical artifacts on display, including furs and trapping, caning, leatherwork, printing press, woodwork, loom, classic automobiles and antique tractors.

Volunteer at the Festival

Please contact: Jill Heck: jill@newfanehistoricalsociety.com or 716.390.9679

Here's your chance to learn how to operate antique equipment, and share your knowledge of history, artifacts and more! Volunteering for the Newfane Historical Society allows you the chance to support our community with very little hours each year, and enjoy the work you do! Various jobs are available, including machine operation, talking to visitors, working in our various museum buildings, working with food, set-up, clean-up and more.

We're always looking for volunteers to help out at the festivals. This includes organizations you are involved in that could send a group to help (i.e. churches, boy scouts, girls scouts, 4H, school groups and more).

Flea Market, Food & Craft Vendors

Please contact for approval, contract and prices. Vendor Chair: George Updegraph: 716.531.0200 (please leave a message)

Spaces are available! Each space is 20x20, and you must be set up before 10am and remain on site until 4pm. We do not rent or offer any supplies; you must bring everything with you for displaying your products.

PLEASE NOTE: Food vendors are not permitted to sell products already sold by the society's food buildings (hot dogs, burgers, italian sausage, baked desserts, cotton candy, chowder, potatoes, pie). Any vendors selling identical products will be turned away from our event without a refund.
