The Van Horn Mansion is a living history museum and event center, first built as a home by the Van Horn Family in 1823. It's located in Niagara County, NY, is noted for being haunted, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It's a cultural and historical centerpiece for the Town of Newfane, and offers looks at life around the Victorian age.
The Van Horn family built and shared the home for nearly a century. They contributed immensely to the growth of the area, and their surname has been honored on streets, buildings, and more. Their home was the first brick building in town, and has had many redesigns throughout its life.
