Revitalization Project

In honor of the Van Horn Mansion's 200th birthday in 2023, the estate is undergoing a variety of necessary enhancements in order to refresh the property and help keep it a mainstay attraction of the Newfane community.

Project Updates

Special thanks to everyone who has supported our efforts! Some plans completed or underway include:

  • Second floor redesign
  • Brand new chairs for indoor events
  • Reworking the estate's landscaping
  • Repairs, cleaning, and painting the Lower Veranda
  • Updates to a few indoor displays
  • reorganizing the office, broom closet and kitchen
  • upgraded cleaning supplies
  • Updating entryway displays
  • Assessing and reworking various displays and collections
  • Repairs to the roof and skylight area
